Cincinnati has a strong German heritage, so we’re very proud to participate in other German organizations’ festivals, parades, and other events around the city.
As a club, we’ve participated in Oktoberfests, Maifests, German Heritage Day, and more! We’ve staffed booths and volunteered as a group for other organizations’ events, we’ve marched in their parades, and we’ve represented our Club in their ceremonies.
Since 2011 we’ve marched in the Bockfest parade in such great numbers that it’s become a Mustard Club event in its own right. And we’ve even won awards for our Bockfest parade entries both for our creativity and our spirit.
Our Bockfest participation also saw the debut of our own hero, Mustard Man, who delivers packets of Händlmaier’s Mustard to the masses along the parade route. For the 2012 Bockfest, Mustard Man defeated Ketchup the Kid in the title fight, “Bocky 20,″ during the parade — for which we won a “Best Parade Entry” trophy. And we celebrated Bockfest turning 21 for the 2013 parade with a huge cake — complete with our own “goat girl” popping out!
See our calendar to find out about the next event the Club will be participating in, and please, join us for the fun!
